1. What factors made your organisation choose the BGL products you use?
We moved when Solution 6 became windows based and just didn't work. The word in the industry was the BGL Simple Fund was the best so we went with it.

2. How has your organisation benefitted from using BGL Products?
We want to be at the forefront of the SMSF industry and BGL Simple Fund is cornerstone of that. We do not have a business without it but we are comfortable with that because we are confident in the product..

3. How have the BGL products assisted your organisation in servicing your clients?
Our clients pay significant fees for full service administration so it is important that staff use the best product available. BGL has enabled online access and provide data transfer facilities between various other programs/platforms. It allows us to operate in areas we could not have gone to before. Unlike its competitors, they seem willing to work with others in the SMSF industry to ensure that their products meet everyone's needs.

4. Why do you trust BGL as your compliance solution provider?
Because it has always been a solid program. There are those attempting to come into the market but they underestimate how complex the SMSF arena is and aren't up to the task. We trust that BGL will continue to look after our interests and ensure that the software available is at least capable if not better than their competitors.

5. If you were to recommend BGL to a colleague how would you describe our products and or services?
Built by intelligent people who understand that BGL Simple Fund is more than an accounting package. It's a value-add to any business.

6. How would you summarise your experience in using the BGL products and services?
Very good. Good support for a quality product. I can not envisage us ever using any other product for our SMSF business.

1. What factors made your organisation choose the BGL products you use?
We received a good report from an accountant friend about BGL product in respect to SMSF. We had used two other products Class Super and Handisoft Super Fund. Class Super is an internet based product that is still in the development stages in a similar way as Handisoft Super. Both of these products were inadequate and created more problems rather than solving them.

2. How has your organisation benefitted from using BGL Products?
We are in the learning process with the product. We have initially benefitted by the fact that the software can handle all transactions and is up to date with current legislation. It actually works. It doesn't crash or destroy your data. You can print out a topic from the help file and actually follow it. There have been a few occasions where we needed help to rectify issues. However, I think to understand the program you need to persevere with the help menu before ringing the help line. Most of the time you find it is something you have done incorrectly that resulting in information coming out of the program is incorrect.

3. How have the BGL products assisted your organisation in servicing your clients?
We are now able to give clients more comprehensive report that goes through their entire super fund in respect to members accounts, investments, balance sheet and profit and loss reports. The reporting is far superior to any other product that we have used.

4. Why do you trust BGL as your compliance solution provider?
I think that the accountant/tax agent needs to have current information and expertise in this particular area to check that BGL is delivering the correct taxation reports and other legislation requirements. Having said that so far I haven't seen any areas where BGL is not compliant. The point I am making is that it is the accountant's job to ensure the program delivers and is compliant, not the other way round.

5. If you were to recommend BGL to a colleague how would you describe our products and or services?
The product certainly eliminates the frustration of the time consuming other two packages above, because it actually works. It 's a package that you can install on your system, not an internet package where the data is stored somewhere else. When we have experienced problems the service we have received has been outstanding. The computer technician has virtually taken over control of our computer and fixed the problem.

6. How would you summarise your experience in using the BGL products and services?
We have really good experience with the product so far and the service. I don't think that there is any other product on the market in the same league as BGL or in comparison with the two that we have used

Had a very good Trustee User Group meeting with the charming Cam last night in Perth. Always so impressed with the calibre of people you find to work for you at BGL.
The Perth Trustee User Group spends most of its time talking about superannuation issues and not BGL issues which shows you how trouble-free Simple Fund is.
I'm amazed I don't see BGL winning national and international software development awards, but then the accounting profession is not like the resources industry.
I would so definitely give you guys a gold Logie or Oscar if I could.
